How to troubleshoot if my router keeps restarting or won`t turn on?

Update: 2026-04-30   Preview:60  For:4G03 Pro V2.0、5G/4G Routers、

1. Verify Your Power Delivery Method

Routers need specific voltage to run smoothly. Identify how your router gets its power and follow the relevant step:

(1) If your router uses a standard wall plug (DC Adapter): Always use the official, bundled power supply that came in the box (for example, connect the 4G03 Pro with its included DC interface power adapter).

(2) If your router uses a USB cable: You must use an IF-certified 5V/2A power adapter (wall block) and a standard USB power cable. The router requires a stable 5V/2A power supply to function.

(3) Avoid low-power USB ports: Do not plug the router into a 5V/1A computer USB port, a car data port, or other low-power interfaces. They cannot provide enough current and will immediately cause the router to restart or fail to boot.

2. Inspect Cables and Connections

(1) Unplug the power adapter and reinsert it firmly to ensure there are no loose contacts.

(2) Check the cable, replace it if it is damaged.

3. Check for Overheating

(1) If the router gets too hot, it will trigger an automatic restart or power-off protection mechanism to save its internal components.

(2) Place the router in a cool, well-ventilated area. Keep it away from direct sunlight, space heaters, and other heat sources.

If issues persist after following these steps, contact Tenda Technical Support via tendafwa@tenda.cn with the following details:
