Update: 2025-11-21 Preview:314 For:A18 Pro 、
Q1 : My A18Pro cannot detect the WiFi signal of the upstream router. What should I do?
A1: Please proceed with the following steps:
- Check if the signal from the upstream router is hidden.
- Change the encryption method of the upstream router to WPA/WPA2.
Q2 : What do the indicator lights on the A18Pro represent?
A2 :
- Solid green light: Connected to the Internet.
- Green light blinking: Not configured, you need to configure it.
- Solid yellow light: A weak signal; whether you can move closer to the upstream router depends on your environment.
- Yellow light blinking: The extender cannot access the internet.
- Solid red light: Poor signal strength, making the signal almost unusable.
- Red light blinking: Disconnected from the upstream router.
Q3 : What should I do if my A18Pro cannot access the internet in AP mode ?
A3 : Please follow these steps :
- Please check if the network cable is working properly (you can connect it to a computer or other device with a network port to determine this).
- Disable the blind plugging function of the upstream router's network ports.
- If the above steps still do not resolve the issue, please gather your upstream router's model and configuration parameters and email them to our technical support.
Q4 : When I visit re.tenda.cn, it prompts " Want to configure your Tenda Wi-Fi extender" ?
A4 : Please follow these steps:
- Make sure your phone/computer is actually connected to the extender's Wi-Fi . If your extender and router are using the same Wi-Fi name, you can reset the extender and reconfigure it (the extender's initial Wi-Fi name is Tenda_EXT ).
- Turn off mobile data and reconnect to the extender's WiFi .
- Clear your browser cache.
- If your extender is not configured, try accessing 192.168.0.254.
Q5: My devices connected to the A18Pro's WiFi , but the network speed did not meet expectations.
A5: Please proceed with the following steps:
- Check if your phone is connected to the main router's WiFi , or if it automatically connects to the stronger extender's WiFi signal .
- Observe whether the indicator light is solid green. If so, try to keep the extender and router as close together as possible.
- Check if the upstream router's 2.4GHz WiFi has been extended . You can try extending the upstream router's 5GHz WiFi .
- If your environment allows, you can try using wired extension (i.e., AP mode).
