Q: What is HomePlug AV?

A: The powerline network is to establish with electricity meters and has the features of no need to setup new cables, lower price, wide utilities, high-speed stability and speed of transmission from 14M to 1000M.

Q: Can one powerline adapter be used?

A: No.  At least two powerline adapters can be used, one is to connect the Internet, the other is to connect PC or another network devices.

Q: Can they work to surf the Internet when they are plugged into the wall outlet?

A: No.  They can work to surf the Internet after pairing successfully.

Q: Is it necessary to install software when using?

A: No, it is not.  This sort of products is a plug-and-play powerline device.  Two of them can pair automatically in the same electricity meters without any settings.  But installing the management software is good for managing the powerline devices.

Q: How many powerline adapters can be connected at most in the same electricity meters?

A: Eight powerline adapters.  But they can establish countless powerline networks in the same electricity meters.

Q: How many meters is the farthest range of two powerline adapters with intercommunication?

A: The farthest range of two powerline adapters is up to 300 meters, but its speed of transmission will falling more than 100 meters.
Q: Can powerline products from different brands work with each other?

A: Yes.  Our powerline devices conform to the standard of HomePlugAV, so they can work with powerline products from other brands.

Q: Is it safe to use powerline adapters when there is thunder and lightning?

A: It is safe. This network expander has thunder and lightning protection. So if the buildings are struck by lightning, the PC and other devices to connect powerline adapters will not be damaged.
