This Super Easy IP Camera Series meet the easiest way to quickly add a surveillance camera to

 

your home or small business network. It works right out of the box. No need to configure your

 

router to open up ports! Simply follow the setup wizard. a novice can install and setup the

1.What system requirements are needed for this Super Easy IP Camera Series?

Wireless Router

Broadband Internet connection (upload/download bandwidth greater than 256K)

256MB RAM or more (recommended 1.0GB)

Graphics 64M or above

Windows 7/ Vista/Windows XP/Mac OS.

2.What system requirements should my PC meet to run the setup wizard?

Your computer must have a CD-ROM drive and a Windows operating system, such as Windows7,

Vista, Windows XP.

 

3.I failed to install the ActiveX. What should I do?

Please check whether the Internet Explorer to block ActiveX downloaded or run.

 

4.How should I configure the Internet Explorer to allow ActiveX installed?

A: Launch the Internet Explorer and select. Select " Tools-> Internet Options";

B: Click on the "Security" button. Select "Internet", then click the "Custom Level" button;

C: In the "Settings" item checked "ActiveX and plug-ins" setting. For each option to cancel

"Forbidden "

Tip:

A: If you are running an anti-virus or firewall program. Make sure they do not block ActiveX

downloaded or run.

B: Before installing ActiveX, make sure you have administrator privileges. Only users with

administrator rights. You can download the installation program to install the ActiveX .

 

5.My camera is not lit when connected to the power supply. What should

I do?

A. Make sure the power LED is working and the camera connects to a power source that matches

specified power specifications supply (Usually 5V is good for CMOS models).

B.Verify that the power connector is not plugged to the audio output port.

 

6.Why my camera cannot connect to the existing wireless Router?

Before you can use connect to the existing wireless Router, you must first connect your PC to the

camera via an Ethernet cable and then enter the camera's utility to configure some basic settings.

 

7.My camera cannot be reset. What should I do?

Press the Reset button for about ten seconds when your camera is connected to power source.

8.Should I connect the camera to my computer, switch or router?

Please connect the camera to a router or the switch that is connected to the router. You can also

connect the camera to your PC and configure it from your PC. But this is not recommended.

 

9.Should I still keep my computer on after setup is completed?

There is no need to keep your PC on after you finish configuring the Network Camera. It works as

an independent device on your network. However if you wish to record real-time video. You must keep your computer on as long as the router is powered up, the external network will be able to access the camera.

 

10.I have connected my computer and the camera to the same router.

How can I watch the videos on camera?

A. Insert the CD into the computer CD-ROM drive and run setup.exe.

B. Follow instructions or prompts on setup wizard to configure the camera.

C. Click on ”” and you will can start to watch videos on the camera.

 

11.I cannot find the camera after I change its IP address and update

devices?

A. Click  ” ” to refresh IP address information.

B. Make sure the camera's IP address is not used by any other device (computer, printer or other

network devices).

 

12.I connected network cables as required but failed to search the

camera?

A. Make sure that the network camera and your router are on the same subnet.

B. Disable computer's firewall (including system built-in firewall) and antivirus software while

searching.

C. Disable all other network adapters (if there is more than one adapter enabled on your PC) and

then search again using the only left card.

 

13.Why nothing happened when I clicked onin setup wizard?

First make sure the setup wizard has been searching to the device. Reset the default browser

from Internet Options or use another browser as the default browser. This problem is caused by a damaged browser.

 

14.Why do I have to reconfigure the camera to wirelessly connect to my

wireless router every time when the router restarts? Sometimes I cannot

even search the wireless network of my router.

A. Manually set your wireless router’s channel to any number between 1-11. Do NOT use channel 12 or channel 13.

B. Make sure your router’s SSID is a combination of letters and numbers and does not include any special characters, Chinese characters or symbols!

C. Manually specify your wireless router’s security settings, say, WPA2-PSK, AES. Do NOT use the

Auto option.

D. After you configured your router as required above, connect your PC to the camera via an

Ethernet cable.

E. Open camera’s web page, search and select the router ’s SSID.

F. Enter the router ’s security key.

G. First disconnect the Ethernet cable and power supply from the camera and then reconnect the

camera to a power source.

H.Restart the camera and the problem will be resolved.

 

15.The wireless signal strength is very poor. Sometimes my computer

also suffers from this poor signal strength?

This may happen if you are in a place (for example, computer city) with many wireless devices

operating on same radio frequency. Interferences will then degrade your wireless signal signals. If you are using H-series products, you can get to know what radio frequency other neighboring

wireless networks are using the search option and select the least interferential channel for your

wireless router to operate on.

 

16.I watched the videos on the camera but they are very slow and not

well streamed?

If you are watching videos from the LAN , it may be caused by poor quality Ethernet cables. If you

are watching videos from Internet , it may be caused by poor network bandwidth. The camera

can stream videos by lowering resolution of MJPEG videos; adjusting bit stream of H.264 videos.

 

17.Why videos on camera are not true in color?

Cameras with CMOS chips are sensitive to light. Videos may not look good in color with dark light

or equipped infrared lens. To avoid this problem, please use CMOS cameras with dual filter or a

color lens.

 

18.Video blurs on a new camera.

The factory default focus settings may not match your condition. Please readjust it according to

your real environment.

 

19.Why there are ripples in the videos?

Cameras with CMOS chips are sensitive to light. This may be caused by dark light interference.

Also make sure the camera operates with 50HZ power system. Otherwise it may cause ripples on

the screen.

 

20.Can I preset the network camera to a certain position or can I keep

PTZ controls working all the time?

H.264 cameras allow you to store 1 preset position. However, IP cameras are driven by motor

rather than speed dome. Rotating all the time will shorten motor service life. So, for prolonged

life, it is not recommended to keep it always rotating.

 

21.Why it is too slow when watched from my phone?

Please watch it via a 3G or WIFI connection. 2G connection may not be good enough for the

service. But sometimes the 3G network is not nice either. Try lowering the resolution on your

mobile phone if you use a H.264 format camera.

 

22.I cannot watch the camera from the Central Control Platform software.

Why?

A. Make sure network camera's IP address and port are correctly configured.

B. Make sure you can watch it from website and then add it to the software. For instructions, see

user guide.

 

23.Can I watch and record videos using the Central Control Platform

software from Internet?

Yes. Simply add DDNS of the Camera to the software and follow user guide to specify a path to

store the recorded videos and set video recording time rules.

 

24.I enabled motion detection and external sensor input alert from the

Central Control Platform software. The alert is triggered but it is not

shown on software?

A. The alert function must be first enabled on the web page and then on the software.

B. Plus, video recording and photo capturing must also be set.

 

25.Can the Central Control Platform software automatically start?

Yes. Simply drag the Central Control Platform software shortcut from your desktop to "boot"

folder. Then, in the software "System Settings",Tick “Play all the devices when running this

software”.

 

26.What video recording modes are supported on the camera?

A. Record videos locally using  the Central Control Platform software by automatic recording or

manual recording.

B. Record videos locally via the Web interface.

C. Use the P2P mobile client software to record and store videos on your mobile phone.

D.Use the IP-DDNS mobile client software to record and store videos on your mobile phone.

 

27.What smart phone operating systems are supported by current P2P

client softwares?

Android and Apple IOS systems.

 

28.Can I watch videos via Android or Apple phone’s internal browser?

Yes. But you have to configure port mapping settings on your router. Also, you will have to

configure DDNS settings if you do not know the router’s WAN IP.

 

29.What pixels for maximum image does the camera support?

HD Series: 1.3-megapixel

SD series: 300 000 pixels

 

30.Does the camera support zoom function?

Yes. It supports 3 x digital zoom.

 

31.Is the camera’s wireless connection secured? Can others connect to

my camera?

The camera’s wireless connection is well secured with WEP/WPA/WPA2 wireless encryptions.

 

32.How should I install the camera?

The camera can be installed either on table and or wall.

 

33.What wireless protocols does the camera support?

It supports 802.11b/g/n and wireless transmission rate up to 150Mbps.

                            

34.What Capacity of an external Micro SD card does the camera support?

HD Series: up to 32G.

SD Series: Does not support external Micro SD card.

                             

35.Will the camera alert me to intruders when I am not at home?

Yes. If you have enabled motion detection and alert functions on camera's Web interface (For

operation instructions, see user manual.), the camera will automatically upload videos and

images to your specified FTP server or send them to your specified mailbox to alert you to the

intruders when detecting the motion.

 

36.What pixels does the camera support?

HD Series support: 720P (1280x720) / 640x360/320x180

SD series support: VGA (640 * 480) / QVGA (320 * 240) / QQVGA (160 * 120)

It varies for P2P remote video viewing based on broadband network conditions. However, at least minimum 320 × 240 is supported.

 

37.Does the camera support infrared feature?

Yes. All the Super easy series cameras support infrared capabilities.

 

38.Does the camera support voice function?

Yes. All the Super easy series cameras support two-way voice communication.
